Timi Yuro: Legendary Sister of Soul (Rerecorded Version)

if the hits are re-makes, I don't wanna hear 'em . . . . .

Timi Yuro has one of strongest voices I have ever heard...although in this album her voice is a little weak but still excellent.....If you are a Timi Yuro fan you will love the album...If you want to hear her at her best get the Greatest hits album and then you will buy all her music.

The "Hits" are remakes, but even these are good. I never could understand why this talented lady never had more "Radio" hits. Here she puts her unlimited soul into some classics. "It Must Be Him" is better than Vikki Carr's hit. The Brenda Lee hits are covered nicely. "Cry" gives her a chance the get her trademark sound. Don't care for the Gene Pitney covers, but "Tears On My Pillow" fits her nicely, as does "Let Me Go Lover. Don't care for the intro on "It's Only Make Believe," but once she starts singing it gains steam.
