It is FREAKING IMPOSSIBLE to have a favorite Prince album. That's it. Just when you think.. Omg this is my fave.. He had ANOTHER album that's just as good! So.. Pretty much impossible. LOVE THIS ALBUM

Like most of Prince's work, this album is highly overrated based on it ratings and reviews. Sure it's experimental and different, but so are many more albums in this era that actually have songs you enjoy listening to.

This was an awesome concept album (one of Prince's best). I've owned the Cassette, wax album, cd and finally purchased the e-file after feeling nostalgic. Now I'm waiting for the Videos from this album to become available !

In the wake of Prince’s passing a few days ago, I pulled out this tape and once again let the genius of this album wash over me. Back in the day, I’d played this so may times I was surprised it still works. Now I’m downloading the digital version so that I don’t have to keep rewinding. Seriously, though, this is a magnum opus of an album, an album that makes the listener wish that the concept of “album” still existed. “Albums. Remember those?” - Prince Rest in Purple Power Prince Rogers Nelson. Thank you for your genius and your music.

I bought this cd when it was released and I tell you this rocked,I liked all the same song that everyone loves but my favorite on this album is And God Created Woman.Prince was a wonderful musician and singer and as a fan from the beginning I was stunned at his passing but,I am a realist and I know we all will go one day, just sad at his passing.R.I.P. Prince you are one of the greatest artist ever.Peace Hector V. The One

I was born the year this album was released, so I discovered it over two decades later. It's brilliant. Love 2 the 9s is the most played song of my music library, and there are several other great songs from this album. It's experimental and wonderful, and it opened the door for me to the world of the funky genius of Prince.

This is definitely one of the most interesting concept albums out there. Prince & Warner Brothers need to release the accompanying videos again as a video LP.
