i saw these guys on the street in los angelas when i was seven or eight im 18 now and i still love their music they gave me a free cd because i was dancing to thier music lol now that i think about it they probably just gave it to so i would go away my favorite is sno white i memorized it lol

This guys is amaizing. In 1994 I heard him in a coffee shop in Upstate New York. At the time he was selling hand made recordings for $10. I have three of his albums on tape...only no player. Raif's got at least two more albums of orginal songs that will never see the light of day in the digital world. Some are even better than what's here. Buy this album, it has some of the best lyrics I have ever heard and his guitar playing is a wild hybrid between traditional methods from the old country and modern strumming. If your looking hard to find tracks worth listening to, scout old tape collections for his other albums...look for a song title Already a Rose. I sing it to my daughter every night from memory.

I saw this guy playing on Venice Beach in S. California a few years back while out there on vacation. Liked the music so much I purchased the album on the spot and couldn't stop playing it in the rental car the entire week. Still play the CD to this day and love it. Hope there is more to come from Raif.

If you don't buy this album, you are missing out big time. Raif's lyrics are deep and witty and fun and soft all at the same time and his voice sings like a humming bird's.

i don't know where we got this cd, but we've had it for several years now, and it is a great cd. it not spectacular, but i would suggest buying it. his voice is good, and the guitars are very clean. the first three songs are the best.

I saw this guy in a coffee shop in Gainesville FLorida, where he was singing to make enough money to get to LA. Just him and his guitar on the stage and he was impressive. I found the cd to be very clever and in heavy rotation still to this day. .. even though its on the iPod now!!

I saw this guy in a coffee bar in redondo beach, CA and the bass player gave me this cd after. For me, this cd was hard not to listen to over and over. I found it honest, clever and very relevant. It is a pretty rough mix reallyif you listen closely but not bad at all and an excellent song writer. The Horse I Rode In On, Last Love Song and A Better World are really great songs. I have not been able to find this cd until this very moment, I would highly recommend it for anyone who likes storytellers and political satire.
