The album that made me fall in love with Prince. I've never heard (to this day), a funkier bass line than "Let's Work."

I will agree with Hector V, Controversy is Prince at his best. Great song writing, great playing. Prince before he became the Purple one. God Speed to you, Prince. We were musically blessed while you were with us, and you have left an amazing record to show the future how we rocked. See you on the "b" side. Cheers. You WILL be missed.
  • One Of his best works R.I.P.

  • Prince continues 2 deliver!

Album number 4, the most solid 2 date, fun and full of life. Prince has developed a sound that would define him 4 the next 2 albums (1999 & Purple Rain). The R&B underdog "Do Me Baby" closes the A Side while the last three tracks Let's Work, Annie Christian, and Jack U Off shove the doors wide open for the next purple electric 1999!
