We discovered this in the 1980's and it has informed everything since. Enough said.

this album will make you long for the rolling hills of the veld, the bustle of joburg and all that makes south africa so beautiful- the people. Each song makes me smile. A truly wonderful listening experience, a portrait of the south african spirit.

This eclectic album - I've owned nearly 30 years - is a paean to the truth that is music despite the most horrible circumstances.
Every cut is unique, worthwhile and stands individually. Try some reality.
Really, FIVE STARS

This has got to be about the best 10 bux I ever dropped into iTunes. The quality of the music is unrivaled and sounds fresh over 20 years later. While Paul Simon's Graceland brought this sound to the USA, this is the pure stuff.
Please download this music!

Somehow I had a CASSETTE tape of Soweto music in the 80's. I played it until it broke and maybe this may not be the same individuals , it's the same beautiful vibe and music and should be added and played by everyone!!!! Thank God I found it again!!!

i happened upon this after reading a book about south africa and thought i'd give it a shot. wow, was i surprised! there's just something about this album that puts a smile on your face. great african beats with some spine-tingling harmonic vocals. best when used on a beautiful day with the windows down cruising down the street.
