This is a budget collection of the Weather Girls featuring songs from their three albums with Epic, the re-named Weather Girls were originally named Two Tons Of Fun and were the backing group for the late Sylvester. Being a budget collection one would expect the sound and selection to be sub-par but both are far from it, the song selection given their limited amount due to the brief tenure and the sound quality are excellent. The staple "It's Raining Men" is a must have and the closer of this collection both from the album "Success" is a must have for any Christmas party or playlist. Martha Wash had gone on to great success as a "ghost" singer for Black Box and C&C Music Factory and scored a solo hit "Give It To You" from her one-off album with RCA. Martha scored a number of dance singles both solo and guest appearances on various albums and had a solo collection of her hits released on the dance label "Logic." That solo collection is worth seeking out. Izora Armstead revived the Weather Girls with her daughter and scored hits in the U.K. and had a hit dance single here, it's still available on iTunes, unfortunately Izora died of a heart attack. The original "Two Tons" is available here on iTunes in the form of the hits collection "Get The Feeling" and it features the song "It's Raining Men" to make that collection a bit more comprehensive.
