Fabulous album - “Restless Gypsy” is one of the best rock & metal songs EVER made or written. W.A.S.P was incredibly underrated in the 80’s.

The ridiculous album cover had to hurt this album's popularity, but it has held up very well over time. It is their most complete and professionally produced album, and it has a lot of energy and vindictive, menacing, fist-pumping lyrics, just good rock music, reflective of early 80's metal that had fluffed-out or become boring by the late 80's for the most part. This is a complete album, but highlights have to be "I'm Alive," "Sweet Cheetah," the title track, "The Rock Rolls On," "Restless Gypsy," and "Shoot From The Hip." Crude sexual innuendo, vows to avenge and live boldly, and other typical themes of WASP songs are all here at their best, with great guitar riffs. It is certainly a valiant follow-up to the equally impressive "The Last Command," and probably doesn't get its just due.

On a nice Spring day, it is nice just to step into your car, roll down the window, insert "Inside The Electric Circus" into your CD player, and hit the open road with carefree, reckless abandonment. "Inside The Electric Circus" has everything a person could want in an album: A thunderous drumbeat, screeching guitar riffs, larger than life vocal tracks, fantastic melodic harmony, and an precise sense of lyrical phrasing and choral repetition. In addition, this album has 2 really good cover tunes on it. Namely, "I Don't Need No Doctor" and "Easy Living." I often wonder if tracks like "Restless Gypsy," Shoot From The Hip," "Mantronic," and "The Rock Rolls On" don't cause an epidemic in traffic ticket violations because it is so difficult not to turn up the volume, gain a lead foot, and surpass the speed limit, let alone the sound barrier, once those tracks emphatically vibrate through your car speakers stereo system. Perhaps, instead of a warning label about sexually explicit lyrics, "Inside The Electric Circus" should also include a complementary "Fuzz Buster" with each purchase...Just a slightly sarcastic thought anyway. If you would like to listen to a phenomenal rock and roll album as it was meant to be seen, heard, and literally felt, then you will be pleasantly surprised by "Inside The Electric Circus."
