  • Can't Get Into It

I just can't seem to lose myself in this. It all sounds a bit too monotonous to me, and I'm not incredibly fond of Adam's voice. Great instrumentation, but just misses the mark for me.

From the first time I listened to “Pain,” I was hooked. The War in Drugs invited you to go on a lyrical and musical journey you cannot forget. Do yourself a favor and give “A Deeper Understanding” a listen.

Moody and melodic. Listening to just one song would be like reading just one chapter of a great novel. Love this band!
  • Very well done

One of the best albums in a long time. Great start to finish. Two of the strongest songs are in the last three on here. You can tell they took a lot of time getting this one right.

Take the time to let this grow on you if you don't enjoy it for the first few listens, it's a phenomenal work of music. A must have for this year... Best listened to during sunrise or sunsets, on a long drive, by the lake, or just daydreaming...

I purchase maybe one album a year considering we have so many streaming resources available these days. This by far is the best album of the year. Highly recommended by one of the 'pickiest taste in music' kinda guy. You will not be disappointed. Take care y'all.
  • Best album I've bought all year

I can't stop playing this album. I've probably purchased 6 or 7 albums from different artists since the release of "A Deeper Understanding" and I keep coming back to this. Gets better with every listen. Very well done.

Very few albums nowadays are even worth listening to in whole, much less buying. However, this record is a welcome change. From the very beginning of "Up All Night" to the very end of "You Don't Have to Go" this band has managed to create an extraordinary experience!
  • Amazing Album

Love this album. Sounds reminiscent of Bruce Springsteen and a voice that reminds me of Bob Dylan. Great guitar riffs and choruses that will get stuck in your head. This is an album you need to listen to.

Every song I hear is so beautifully created, I feel like I'm listening to the soundtrack of a movie. Love all of it and his amazing indie/soft rock sound. Def recommend buying!
