Semisonic's great, but Dan Wilson solo is never a bad thing. This Album reminds me so much of his excellent work on the American Pie soundtrack. The only thing this album can use, is another duet with Bic Runga! We love ya Dan!

...just so people understand. This is Dan Wilson of Semisonic, who started writing music with other artists after Semisonic put their last album out in 2001. He's worked with the likes of Adele, Taylor Swift, John Legend, and Josh Groban, among others. So yes. Your favorite song from one of your favorite artists? Chances are Dan had something to do with it. As he said on his Pledge Music site, "Re-Covered is a collection of my reinterpretations of songs that I wrote for and with other artists."
So - again. Not a covers album. Just songs he's had a hand in, re-imagined and performed in a radically different light. Enjoy!

A voice that brings a sense of peace. No edge, no contrivance. Songs that can be listened to for the entertainment value but also worthy to enjoy to bring and end to a day cluttered with stress. Very rare in new music.
