When I heard they were releasing new music, I was elated. When I finally heard the full album, it made me cry from utter and sheer disappointment.

My dad loves Arcade Fire, and I honestly never really understood the hype. HOWEVER, I was listening to Sirius XM one day and heard this song and I FELL IN LOVE! I have no idea how I never realized their potential before.
One of the best albums I've ever listened to. I love how the songs are so different yet they correlate to each other so well. Creature Comfort is such a meaningful song that everyone on this Earth should get the chance to listen to. Signs of Life is a pure bop that anyone can get down to. Well done Arcade Fire
Where’s the band I fell in love with?
Funeral came out when I was 10 and I fell in love with it. Arcade Fire was my first exposure to everything indie and alternative. They became my favorite band and each album had music with depth and deep meaning. They’re music was layered and their sound was unlike anything at the time. Even when Reflektor came out I gave it a chance. They experimented with new sounds and their songs still had that charm that Funeral had. However, this new album is highly disappointing. Other than the single and 2 other songs the album just isn’t the Arcade Fire we know and love. Their new songs are repetitive and lack the creativity of their past albums. It lacks the emotion and lyrics that really made you feel the depth of the music. I really hope this is a misstep from Arcade Fire. I remain a loyal fan and hope the next album is as great as the past ones we fell in love with.
It's good just stop
What happened to this band? It seems like they want to be a disco band now. I'm about to give up on them.
Their least impressive to date...still love you guys!

All things ebb and flow...this album is an ebb....Reflektor had such a great depth and variety--perhaps being such a great album makes this new one feel hollow in comparison. I love Arcade Fire and already forgive them but maybe they just wanted to go light and fun--who knows--maybe it will reach others that normally would not listen and if so, Arcade Fire in peoples lives can only make the world a better place. Excited for the next one and I will still see them live--their positive energy live is something to experience.
Please make it stop
"Everything Now" marks Arcade Fire's complete shift towards the cool cool dance music. Well the new direction does not work. And even worse, there is no subtlety left in the lyrics, making them beyond annoying. Instead of an artistic leap of faith, the band manages to push this album off the edge of a cliff and into the abyss. What a disaster!!!
Arcade Fire does it again
The thing I've come to love about Arcade Fire is that each album is uniquely different and has its own feel. For this reason I don't think I could pick one AF record for my absolute favorite. On first (or second or third) listen, I could understand why many people didn't like it but after many listens I realized that I love this album just like all the other Arcade Fire albums . I think many people are missing the point of what these songs as a whole are supposed to be about. It's about making sense of living in this crazy modern, social media driven world. I've come to realize the fact is that all bands have to change at some point and I think Arcade Fire does that very well. Give Everything Now many listens to truly appreciate it.
Glorious Arcade Fire

This album is one long dance party and serious contemplation of the dark side of modern life, put to a beat that challenges us to laugh and dance despite the reality of our world. Have been an Arcade Fire through every album, and am grateful that they tried something new and entirely retro at the same time. Cannot wait to dance with my daughter at their next show -- cross-generational, thoughtful, kickass music for today. Best line: "I'm a liar, don't doubt my sincerity." Relevant much?
