This is crap.
Sings out of tune and watching them live is painful. Recently saw them on SNL and barely could watch the awkwardness of this band trying too hard to be current. It is as if they are trying a formula of being hip and it fails miserably. They learned nothing from working with LCD Soundsystem in the past. This really is a dreadful collection of songs.
I love this stuff
Just saw them on SNL made me buy the album
One of those eh albums. Both reflektor and suburbs were masterful, I knew another neon bible was right around the corner.
Easily their worst album
totally in love with this album
from the intro to the closing I am totally in love with this album - it is incredibly beautiful
Handful of goodies
...but not digging the 70’s disco vibe I got from the album overall. Disappointed
I love arcade fire, and this album, like all of their other albums, has a GREAT message and it’s great to listen to in its entirety. I love this.
I don't mind the retro or disco vibe. Bands are allowed to explore different styles.
Where is the emotion?
Or the creativity?
Listen to Infinite Content (I did, however, enjoy the campy Infinite_content.) And then Peter Pan. And then Chemistry. Then can you look me in the face and tell me that this is a good Arcade Fire album?
Everything Now (the song) is alright, Electric Blue was pretty good, Put Your Money On Me was mildly dope, and We Don't Deserve Love was decent as well. But all of the other songs were either barely mediocre or absolute rubbish.
Looks like Win & Co. lost on this one.
But not really. It's rather disappointing.
