The album is different from the other ones but in my opinion it did not sound like your every day linkin Park album because there was less heavy metal parts of songs that all of the rest of the albums are.
One More Light
I hated this album. I hated it, hated it, hated it. Then Chester died and I saw the meaning. I can’t listen to One More Light without crying. Thank you, Linkin Park, for blessing my ears with screams and whispers.
Had to buy last album from Linkin Park. Linkin Park was one of my favorite music that I listened to since I was a teenager. I can related to a lot of songs from them in my childhood. R.I.P Chester Bennington. Thank you for the great music!
By I love you Caper
These guys have always made such great music. Always, with meaning. So many people have connected to Linkin Park’s music on so many levels and I honestly don’t think anything will be the same from now on. Rest In Peace Chester❤️
Great album, period. Stay strong guys
I listen to metal, rock and alternative mostly
By can’t think of 1
Im almost embarrassed to admit that I hadn’t had a chance to know about Linkin Park till Chester Bennington’s passing. Then I started to listen to this album, was I missing out!
I have been heavy listing over and over, I have never been more moved by music than this! So emotional, heartbroken, feels like I knew Chester personally. His voice directly speaks to my heart! Please, Linkin Park, hang in there, please please keep producing music.
Picked it up again after a few months
Following Chester’s passing I decided just to set this down for a bit because of my initial reaction to it. Wow, here is actually what I found.
Your first impression when you hear it is just “easy-made pop music with a computer” and you think it’s just weak and LP’s worst. I gave “Talking to Myself” and “Sorry for Now” a few spins again, the “Nobody Can Save Me”... and if you listen behind all the synths you hear some of the instrumental work and the heart put into it. You then listen to Chester and you realize he actually put in a lot into this.
I still think it could of been mixed better but beside that, it’s actually a decent effort. I just wish it wasn’t losing Chester himself to help me draw this album’s feeling out.
We miss you man RIP
This is greatness!
We MISS you Chester. I know where you were at when you did it. I suffer from depression due to health problems. Your beautiful soul will be missed buddy. Your music touched so many of us. To many people judge greatest when they couldn’t even see the beautiful light you and Linkin Park are/were. Peace brother.
