I totally love Megadeth, Vic Rattlehead, and this RIP album, but my sister is really going to love this awesome digitally remasterd album! I can't wait to play it for her. Too bad she don't do Apple, or I'd gift it to her, but forgive me for digressing. This album sounds great! 5 stars for its superior sound quality and album art work - 1 star for the absence of a digital booklet and lyrics. Also, this album was released in 1990, but it is tagged as 2004, which is inconsistant with other digitally remastered Megadeth albums I've also purchased from iTunes. But for only $5, I cannot complain too much about that considering I paid more than double that for the casette back in the early 90s, but then again, I also got lyrics and a really cool booklet with the casette. Same when I bought the CD in the late 90s, but some lowlife dweeb smashed my window and stole that one out of my car. Oh well, lesson learned. Oops, there I go dirgressing again. Anyway, it's good to know that if someone steals my iPod, I still have this awesome hair flinging, head banging music!
  • I love it but...there are some issues.

Before anyone blasts me with several hate comments, I love this album. However, my jumping on to this glorious masterpiece was on a different version of the mixing. It's nothing against the original, its the progression in my personal tastes. I'm not saying that they should ditch this version for the 2004 remaster, but rather have two different versions of this album - one being the remaster and the other being the original recording. I mean, let's be honest here, a lot of people jumped onto this album on some version.

The fact that you can get the greatest metal album ever made for 8 dollars is ridiculous. I could go on forever about this album, but instead I'll just say: Go buy it. Just do it. You will not regret it, no matter what type of metal, or just music in general you are into. You will find something to enjoy in this record no matter what.

One of my favorite albums, my favorite Megadeth album, and my favorite thrash album. The songs on this album are so strong and powerful and I even like dawn patrol.

They literally sucked the life out of this record with the awful mix. Killed the snare, thinned out the guitars. This honestly sounds like a demo version
  • best thrash album ever

Almost every song on this album is killer. Tornado of souls has one of the greatest guitar solos ever. Holy Wars and Hangar 18 are classics with very original and complex riffs.
  • My favorite Megadeth album

This album is a metal masterpiece. Dave Mustaine and crew took thrash metal and interweaved in it complex leads, riffs and solos that are utterly beautiful yet still so metal. You will seriously appreciate this album when you start listening closely to each riff. You will realize how talented Dave Mustaine is as a guitarist. The solos are great as well. Thank you Megadeth for this album.
